Volleyball is more than a game.

Volleyball teaches players life skills that transcend the volleyball court. It teaches you to be a part of something that is bigger than yourself. You learn to be a part of a team, you learn to sacrifice, you learn to work hard, you learn compromise, communication, teamwork. The list goes on and on. Learning these skills on a volleyball court at a young age affords so many people the opportunity to apply these skills off the court as well, whether it be in a classroom, place of employment, or in everyday life.

For many young volleyball players, playing club volleyball is the route to go if you want to be seen and get recruited to play in college. For most, this is the ultimate dream- to use the sport they love to springboard themselves into a college classroom.

Unfortunately, club volleyball is also very expensive. GSVF is a non-profit that was created in 2019 to raise money to help these young players and their families afford their club dues, so they can pursue these dreams. Every single dollar donated to GSVF is used to pay the club dues of players in need.

Help GSVF help these wonderful kids live out their dreams! Thank you!

Sincerely,

Carl E. Skonberg
